The setting of Del’s memorial event is the T’Kope Kwiskwis Longhouse located at Camp Pigott, a place very special to Del. This virtual event is the result of rescheduling what would have been an in-person experience without the pandemic.
The virtual memorial will include remarks from former Washington Governor Gary Locke and National Order of the Arrow Committee Chairman Mike Hoffman, as well as a replay of Del’s speech upon his acceptance of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2009 National OA Conference.
Use the links to access videos available pre-event, which showcase memories and stories shared between Del’s Friends as well as other videos in which Del had appeared as an actor, interviewee, or presenter. The links also provide easy access to the streaming event on April 24. Be sure to subscribe to the YouTube channel for updates and set a reminder for the main event.
All of Del’s friends, associates and fellow Scouters are welcome. The service will continue to be available at the YouTube channel after April 24th, along with pre-recorded testimonials from those who knew Del, plus other videos of interest about Del’s lifelong service to Scouting.
