Brothers,

What a fantastic weekend we just shared together as we celebrated A Journey’s End and A New Beginning. You helped us set an all-time record with 477 Arrowmen in attendance! Make sure you continue on the journey by building upon knowledge you gained this weekend and spread it to your lodge, chapter, and unit.

If you have any pictures of this past weekend, please send them to conclavepromo@sectionw1n.org.

Please fill out this quick evaluation of this past weekend so that next year’s Council of Chiefs may take the feedback and implement it in the planning of the 2016 Section W-1N Conclave hosted by Section W-1N and the Great Alaska Council on September 16-18, 2016 at Rasmussen Scout Reservation near Anchorage, Alaska. At the end of the evaluation form you’ll also be able to let us know if you’re interested in helping on staff at Conclave 2016.

Click here to go to the online evaluation and staff interest form.

A Scout is Thrifty, so consider this: There are just over 500 days between now and the 2016 Conclave. If you set aside $1 each day, you will have saved approximately enough money to cover the cost of your flight to Anchorage, Alaska. Start planning today!

There is a limited supply of memorabilia for sale through our trading post, including additional patches that we’ll be re-ordering. Orders for patches must be placed by May 5th. If you didn’t get a chance to purchase an item from the Trading Post, you can still place an order online and we’ll ship it to your doorstep. Click here to go to the Online Trading Post.

Youth: We still have four $300 scholarships to award for you to attend one of the OA’s High Adventure programs this summer. You may have received a copy of the scholarship application form in your conclave packet, or click here to download the form. The application deadline is this Friday, May 1. Send to adviser@sectionw1n.org.

We have an exciting announcement about the National Leadership Seminar! On Sunday afternoon the Council of Chiefs voted to approve a 50% scholarship for every youth who attends the NLS at Camp Pigott on November 20-22, 2015. The cost to attend this premiere advanced leadership development conference is $125, and half of that will be covered by the section. Ask your lodge chief about other possible funding assistance. Payment is not collected during registration. You are encouraged to register early as the event has a maximum capacity less than 100, and Arrowmen from all over the Pacific Northwest will be attending. Click here for more information including online registration.

We look forward to serving you this upcoming year. If you have anything that you need of us as Section Officers, please feel free to email us. We are here to serve and support you.

Yours in Service,
Paul “Trip” Jackson III
2015 Section W-1N Chief
