Hello Section W-1N,
The following branding guide has been developed based off of the national branding guide to help chapters, lodges and trainers incorporate the Order of the Arrow brand into their communication materials. We are excited to share these resources and take one more step toward better and more unified OA communications. Please take a moment to download and view the national branding guide, as well as the Section W-1N assets.
The 2016 Conclave auction is going to be off the chart! This year we have some amazing auction items that we know you are going to enjoy. Some of our items include a brotherhood sash singed by Dr. E Earner Goodman, a felt Lodge 1 Flap, complete 2015 NOAC patch sets, and many other varying patches, hats, and shirts. We are also going to have a very special item in the silent auction that only youth can bid on.
Conclave 2016: The circle is now complete registration is now open!
The Section W-1N’s 2016 Conclave at Camp Gorsuch hosted by Nanuk Lodge will be on September 16-18, 2016. If you want to register*, please fill out the form here: https://scoutingevent.com/?conclave16
The Whale’s Tale is the best way to stay up-to-date with the goings on here in Section W-1N.
At the beginning of this term, we decided that we would begin publishing The Whale’s Tale newsletter quarterly, as opposed to just at Conclave like it’s been in the past. Our 2016 Communications Vice Chief has been hard at work crafting a superb newsletter, and finally, the winter edition of The Whale’s Tale is ready for your perusal.
Would you like to attend one of the OA High Adventure Opportunities such as Trail Crew (Philmont), Wilderness Voyage (Northern Tier), W.V. Canadian Odyssey (Canada), OA Ocean Adventure (Florida Sea Base), or the Summit Experience (Bechtel Reserve)? Well, we have good news! Section W-1N is offering four scholarships of $300 to our youth members to help cover the cost.
For more information, checkout the application here: http://sectionw1n.org/resources/Budget/OA_High_Adventure_App.pdf
The application must be submitted to the Section Adviser (email@example.com) before the May 1st deadline.
Are you an Arrowmen looking for a once in a lifetime experience this summer? If so, you’re in for a major treat because the Summit Bechtel Reserve is hosting a brand new Order of the Arrow event that’s only offered in 2016.
The OA event, Prism, is a four-day adventure program at the Summit that culminates on the same grounds where the Order was founded. The event is offered to eight Arrowmen from each lodge as part of the inaugural year of the Summit Circle at the Summit Bechtel Reserve.
